ACR have registered an excellent opportunity for a Technical Manager on behalf of our client, a leading developer of new homes who specialise in creating large-scale residential led schemes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire; and who are renowned for the quality of their product.

Reporting to the Technical Director, the company are seeking the services of a Technical Manager to be based at Head Office in Hertfordshire. The successful applicant will be responsible for covering high profile and technically challenging schemes which include large traditional build projects with elements of concrete framed flats and apartments and timber frame housing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Managing consultants and their deliverables (Architects, Civil & Structural Engineers, M&E, Sustainability).
• Analysing consultant tender returns, making recommendations and appointments.
• Ensuring working drawings are delivered within programmed timescales, to current Building Regulations and other associated legislation.
• Maintaining the flow of information to buyers, construction, sales and marketing.
• Ensuring information passed to the build teams is correct.
• Ensuring buildability, cost effectiveness and a high standard of finish.
• Undertaking site quality inspections, providing technical assistance and solutions.
• Managing sub-contractor design approvals.
• Preparing and updating regular technical reports.
• Providing technical support to development managers and site management, ensuring queries are quickly resolved.
• Reviewing architectural designs.
• Establishing, monitoring and managing the design programme to ensure targets are achieved.
• Identifying and managing design related project risks.
• Overseeing NHBC and Building Regulation applications through to approval.
• Liaising with the project document controller.

Candidates must have experience working on large-scale traditional housing schemes either for a Main Contractor or Developer and will ideally come from an Engineering background.
