ACR are currently working with a highly respected and well-established housebuilder in Brentwood who are seeking an organised and proactive Technical Co-ordinator to support the delivery of their high-quality residential developments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing design information, coordinating consultants, and ensuring all technical aspects of the build are delivered efficiently and in line with the programme, standards, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage and coordinate the flow of technical information between internal teams, external consultants, and site management.
- Review design drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, NHBC requirements, and company standards.
- Track and manage design changes, ensuring all updates are accurately recorded and communicated.
- Appoint, brief, and coordinate architectural, engineering, and specialist consultants.
- Ensure consultants meet design deliverables, deadlines, and quality expectations.
- Liaise with planning authorities, warranty providers, and utilities companies to ensure smooth progression of technical approvals.
- Assist in securing technical, planning, and building regulation approvals.
- Review and manage the discharge of planning conditions and constraints.
- Ensure designs are buildable, cost-effective, and aligned with the site-specific strategy.
- Provide ongoing technical support to site teams throughout the build.
- Attend site meetings to resolve technical queries and ensure design information is implemented correctly.
- Identify and address clashes, buildability issues, and design risks early.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, drawings, and design schedules.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Technical Co-ordinator, Assistant Technical Co-ordinator, or similar role within residential construction or housebuilding.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, NHBC standards, planning requirements, and modern construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD, document control systems, MS Office).
