My client are a successful independent house builder based in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire, who have been delivering innovatively designed and carefully crafted new homes since 2005.
ACR are currently looking for an experienced refurbishment Site Manager to work on a site in Saffron Waldon comprising of 50 apartments as part of the conversion from an 18th century school. The Site Manager will report to the Project Manager and is responsible for the refurbishment element of the development. The project is a challenging refurbishment:

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage construction projects from ground through to completion
Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Manage and supervise construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
Communicate with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues that arise

Qualifications / experience:

Refurbishment / conversion project experience, with experience of dealing with structural alternations, re roofing, DPC and timber treatment
Degree in Construction or trade background
Strong knowledge of quality control processes, blueprint reading, construction estimating, and schematics
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels
