ACR are working with one of the UK’s largest developers of mid-market homes to identify a Quantity Surveyor to join their Eastern region based in Essex. The company deliver over 3,000 units per annum nationwide, with approximately 350 coming from the Eastern region and being built across Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. The business prides itself on bringing new talent into the industry, and constantly developing the skills and expertise of their existing staff.

The Commercial team in Essex is made up of ambitious, energetic, inventive and enthusiastic people. They have a supportive and hard-working team ethic, and the Commercial Director operates a very open and encouraging management style.

As a Quantity Surveyor in this business, you will be given responsibility for up to three new-build residential projects at once (dependent on your ability), with developments consisiting of between 50 and 250 units of private and mixed-tenure housing. The company operate a “white card” system with their subcontractors, making the ongoing commercial management of projects relatively straightforward; with a lot more importance being attached to the pre-construction procurement stages of a a project.

You will need a Degree in Quantity Surveying, and some proven expertise of commercially managing substantial construction projects (ideally housing). You will be rewarded with a generous, negotiable salary and a package consisting of a vehicle, pension, healthcare and bonus scheme.
