Assistant Site Manager – Housebuilding
Location: Essex
Looking to take the next step in your housebuilding career? We’re recruiting an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of high-quality residential developments across sites in the Essex area.

The Role
You’ll support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy construction site, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on time, to specification and in line with quality standards and budgets.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the management of site operations, health & safety, and quality standards
Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress against the build programme
Ensuring compliance with NHBC/LABC/Premier standards and H&S legislation
Managing site records including inductions, inspections, timesheets and quality checks
Ordering, checking and storing materials in line with guidelines
Liaising with external bodies such as warranty providers, local authorities and utilities
Working closely with Sales and Customer Care to support smooth handovers and issue resolution
What We’re Looking For
Experience within the housebuilding industry (essential)
Good knowledge of NHBC or LABC/Premier standards
Strong understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
CSCS card (essential)
SMSTS preferred
Full UK driving licence
NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision desirable (training available if not held)
