Project Manager
Witham, Essex | Full-Time | Permanent
An established and highly respected main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a new-build residential development in Witham, Essex.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a financially stable business with a strong pipeline of work across the residential and care sectors. You’ll take full responsibility for delivering projects safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while leading site teams and maintaining excellent client relationships throughout the build.
The Role
As Project Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of project delivery from mobilisation through to completion and handover. Working closely with commercial, technical and operational teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day delivery of a live construction project.
Lead site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
Ensure works are completed safely and in line with current legislation.
Monitor programme, progress and project milestones.
Maintain quality standards throughout construction.
Work closely with commercial teams to manage project costs and profitability.
Chair site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and local authorities.
Identify and resolve project challenges before they impact programme.
Produce accurate project reports and maintain site documentation.
Ensure a professional, well-organised and compliant site is maintained from start to finish.
Deliver a smooth client handover and support the aftercare process where required.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and proactive construction professional who enjoys leading teams and delivering high-quality projects.
You’ll ideally have:
Previous experience managing residential new-build developments for a main contractor.
Experience delivering projects using either timber frame or light gauge steel frame construction.
SMSTS.
Valid CSCS Card.
3-Day First Aid Certificate.
Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
Strong commercial awareness.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Good IT skills, including project reporting.
A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
