Senior Site Manager – Bedfordshire

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded residential developer delivering a quality housing scheme near Dunsstable, Bedfordshire.

This is a key leadership role for a construction professional with a proven track record of managing residential developments from groundworks through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a residential development, leading site teams and subcontractors to successfully deliver new homes while maintaining exceptional standards of health and safety, build quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all construction activities on site from inception to completion.
Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme targets and budgets.
Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
Drive quality standards and ensure compliance with NHBC requirements.
Lead, motivate, and develop site teams.
Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and reporting.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or experienced Site Manager within the residential housebuilding sector.
Strong track record of delivering volume housing developments.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Thorough understanding of construction processes, regulations, and quality standards.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain programme delivery.
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications are essential.
NHBC award-winning experience would be advantageous.
