As the business continues to expand, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Construction Manager to play a key role in the successful delivery of a growing development portfolio.

The Role

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for overseeing multiple residential construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to drive programme, quality, and health & safety standards across a number of developments.

You will work closely with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of residential developments from enabling works through to handover.
Manage and monitor main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and supply chain partners.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
Review construction programmes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.
Oversee contractual compliance and support the management of variations, claims, and commercial matters.
Collaborate with commercial, technical, planning, and finance teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and professional partners.
Drive best practice across health & safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Provide regular project reporting to senior management.
Support the continued growth and development of construction processes across the business.
About You

We are seeking an experienced construction professional with a proven track record of delivering residential developments for a recognised housebuilder, residential developer, or main contractor.

You will possess:

Significant experience in a Senior Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or similar leadership role.
A strong background in residential development and construction delivery.
Experience overseeing multiple projects and managing key stakeholder relationships.
Excellent knowledge of UK construction practices, building regulations, and health & safety legislation.
Strong commercial awareness and a sound understanding of construction contracts, including JCT forms.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to influence and build effective working relationships at all levels.
A degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
