ACR are working on an exciting and very rare opportunity for an Architectural Technician to join a fantastic, bespoke house builder based in Kent.
Our client have become one of the South-Easts leading privately owned property developers and have maintained an excellent reputation for the quality of their homes and customer service. They have a brilliant team of experienced individuals and are looking for an additional person within their internal design team due to an influx of workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce clear and accurate technical working drawing architectural packages including plans, elevations, sections, electrical and lighting layouts, construction details, door and window schedules, conveyance plans, legal plans, sales plans, site plans, boundary treatment plans, material plans, schedules. Etc. to the highest standard.
- Produce and develop 2D technical construction details.
- Ensure drawings meet all current building regulations and planning requirements.
- Co-ordinate information and liaise with other design team members and third-party suppliers.
- Provide support and information to all departments and suppliers that are affected by the working drawing packages.
- Collate libraries, technical standards, product information, certifications, and testing data.
- Develop technical knowledge of new technologies and requirements to ensure that the design meets all current and future legislation.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, workshops and site meetings.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Experience of producing working drawing packages for residential housing developments.
- Experienced with the use of AutoCAD and the production of working drawings.
- Technical knowledge of current UK Building regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with outstanding communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Construction related degree level or HNC / HND
- Full UK Driving License
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Methodical, organised and works to a high standard.
- Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
