ACR have an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Manager on behalf of our client, a leading housing developer who work in partnership with public and private sector organisations to regenerate housing estates and secure the provision of mixed tenure and mixed use developments in urban locations across London.
The company are seeking the services of a Logistics Manager on a major residential scheme in Barnet, North London. The project consists of in excess of 300 units of predominantly RC frame blocks.
The job role entails:
- Managing all deliveries and collections to and from site
- Scheduling the crane and hoist usage on site in order to facilitate distribution of materials
- Managing the logistics team consisting of Traffic Marshalls, Forklift Drivers, Crane Supervisor, Crane Driver, Slingers / Banksmen, Welfare, Hoist Drivers etc
- Being the key on site contact for Subcontractors and Suppliers and maintaining a continuous communication with them
- Managing the collection of waste from site
- Building a good relationship with the local community
- Liaising closely with local authorities and manage parking bays, suspensions and dispensations, road closure, abnormal load notifications etc
- Producing the Logistics and Traffic Management Plan for the project
- Communicate the Logistics and Traffic Management Plan to all parties in site team & subcontractors
Desirable skills & experience:
- Passionate about construction, house building and customer service
- Experienced in Building & Construction, comfortable working on a fast paced site
- Traffic Management experience
- Strong understanding of lifting operations
- Competent in Resource Planning & Programming
- Relevant CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work essential
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
